last day . yay .

We finished! That is such a plus. Being that I was so stressed out yesterday, I feel like I have accomplished so much during this short time. I was able to come in this morning and get the work done and not even having to push until the last seconds of the class period. The magazine turned out great, I think. Bryce was able to finish the magazine cover and put colorful type pictures on the front, so that was good. Although this group project didn't go as smoothly as we all have liked it to go, the most important part is that we finished and turned it in on time with a great amount of work put into it and not like half done.

So yay for our group. I am glad we`re done.

traumatic tuesday .

Today was rather stressful. There is still more stuff that my group has to get put in and because it is taken quite a while for people to get their stuff in, I am now behind on the timing for this project. Thus, I am going to have to take some of my study time and stay after school to work on this project, which makes me kind of mad (but oh well). There is still the magazine cover that needs to get done and I am hoping Bryce does what he needs to do to have this done, if not it will be me AGAIN. I understand that you can not have two people working on the layout at the same time, but i think that I have did so much for this project. There was always the cover that needs to be worked on, but my fellow layout editor would rather do nothing. UGH !

But tonight I am hoping to have in all of what we have today and tomorrow let the editors look over the magazine for their final time. Oh, I forgot, the editors looked at it today for the first time and made some minor corrections. So yay for that, i guess.

el dia diez ?

Si!

Today we got some work done! It seems like time flies by so fast during our single periods though. I was able to get more stuff done by putting more pictures in, more fast facts, and even one quote. There is only one more picture we need, and a few more fast facts. I am guessing I am going to have to stay after school some on Tuesday to put in more work. It seems like I am doing a lot more of the layout editing work anyway. So, Tuesday I hope to have all the pages completed on the inside of the magazine and then get to work on the magazine soon after, or even start on it on Tuesday also. It is getting down the end of this and it is definitely time to buckle down. I am looking forward to seeing how the magazine is going to come out.

day nine .

Today we got a lot done! I am feeling a little bit better. My group members are putting in more stuff into the student shared and it is working out well. We even came up with the idea for each person to do quotes for the place where they took pictures. It could take up more space and even make it look better. However, I still can not find the little U.S. flag on the computers in the lab. That little flag in the upper right hand corner of the screen has all the symbols, like the stars we need for the star review. This is going pretty well. This is like a formal magazine. Tomorrow I hope to have ALL the stuff in and we be able to start on the cover ASAP.

day eight , day eight !

SOME progress was made today, however, not as much that needed to be done. Some of the pictures that were too small last week were fixed and were able to be put into the layout. We are still in need of more story information and fast facts. I am getting pretty nervous about this because we do not have everything we need and I think we need to get the spread sheet done ASAP. But hopefully we will be fine. Tomorrow I hope to finish all the spreads and be able to start on the cover soon.

seven .

Our group at this point is kind of like a facebook status. Not in a relationship, but "complicated". I think we are complicated right now because the stuff we have right now is not enough and then some other little issues which I hope will all be straightened out soon. Today I went into the lab and placed some pictures in our magazine, along with a story for Gold's Gym and some fast facts too. Our group seems to be getting some stuff done though, which is good. So we are making progress, just not as fast as I would like. On Monday I hope to be able to put in more stuff like layout stuff, so our pages look more full.

day 6 !

Today we got a lot done, surprisingly. I say surprisingly because I was getting annoyed, but I won't go into details. However, we were able to finish the layout and put in pictures for the 'Top Park', which is West Park. There were bunches of good pictures put on the student shared by my group members, but many of them were of the same place. We will be able to get more done once there are more pictures of the different places. Tomorrow I hope that we can put in more pictures throughout the magazine and even add in the stories that R.J. has completed.

dia numero cinco .

Today Bryce and I went into the lab and made the layout for the 'top' place that we choose. I am not exactly sure the progress of my other group members, however, I am sure that some have taken pictures. So hopefully their class time today was productive as well. I think we are making progress each time, therefore, still feeling pretty good about this group project. I think that is saying a lot because I do not generally like working in groups. Tomorrow is our double, I am hoping we finish all of the layouts so we are ready to put in pictures and text as soon as our group members have the photos and stories ready.

day four .

The assignment for today was for the copy editors and editor in chief to complete the style sheet. The style sheet consists of figuring out what all the fonts should be. Since Bryce was not here today, Sarah and I went in to the lab and completed the sheet. We were able to decide on what font we wanted for each font element for this magazine. We also showed Lamags and she said that it sounded pretty good, which is always good =]]

So I am feeling pretty confident about this magazine assignment. There are people in our group who are taking pictures this weekend already! I am thinking we are making good progress on this assignment.

Yay 'Top 5 in INdy' !

day THREE .

I was not in class on Thursday. I am presently going back and forth with yes fever && no fever with flu like stuff .
SUCKS =[

dia numero dos .

Today we indeed got bunches of progress completed. We each were given a job assignment and everyone seems cool about their job. The Editor in Chief is Sarah, which I think is a good choice being that she seems so much more involved that many people in the class. The Layout Editors are Bryce and I. Copy Editors are Keaton and Caroline. Writers are Jordan and R.J., while photographers are Alex, Eryn, and Caroline because she takes good pictures =]]

What I did today to help the group today was typed up the top 5s and the job assignments in a word document, I then sent the document to Sarah and she completed the document [since my charger was dying]. Sarah added what teach of the roles were for the specific places that we chose. The places are going to include the star system [star rating], the environment, what is positive and negative about them, etc.

I believe we are making some pretty good progress. However, I am hoping that some of the group members become more focused on what we have to get done.

FIRST day .

Today was the first day for our final group assignment. As a group, we decided to do "top fives". The basic idea of this topic is to have the top five local restaurants, hang out spots, parks, and gyms. The audience we believe it appeals to are people our age and even older, depending on the spot. Today we attempted listing each 5 for the topics, however, we didn't finish the whole list. We will finish that tomorrow! As a part of this assignment, we have to have jobs. The job assignment that I won't be able considering [in other words, jobs that I don't want to have] are; photographer and writer. I don't think that I would want to be the editor in chief, since there are members in my group who have previous yearbook classes, therefore, more advanced with the InDesign program. I wouldn't care having the job of layout editor or copy editor.
